LOOK AGAIN is an ongoing photographic exploration built around a simple idea: the things worth noticing are often the things we pass every day without really seeing.

I create LOOK AGAIN projects for places, communities, organizations, properties, and subjects—photographing what catches my eye and creating a distinctive visual portrait through my point of view.

WHAT COULD LOOK AGAIN BECOME?

Every LOOK AGAIN project begins with a place, subject, or story—and with the freedom to discover what is already there.

The resulting photographs can become an exhibition, a collection for your organization or community, a publication, an installation, or another visual experience created around the project.

A LOOK AGAIN project might explore a town or neighborhood, a historic property, a changing landscape, a business or organization, an event or tradition, or even a collection of objects.

The subject changes. The idea remains the same: Stop. Look. Look Again..

WHY HAVE WENDY LOOK AGAIN?

You know your place, organization, property, or subject because you see it every day. I arrive without that familiarity.

I notice the details, relationships, traces of history, changes, and unexpected moments that can become invisible when something is part of your everyday world.

A LOOK AGAIN commission gives you more than photographs of what is there. It gives you another way of seeing what is there.

Sometimes it takes another pair of eyes to show us what we’ve stopped noticing.
